Swear to god this was the most tiring trip and rush i ever had. I cant really feel my leg was mine already thru out the trip most of the time is just walk walk walk and climb climb climb.
From airport to Mt Kinabalu park it takes 2hours and half sitting on a cab. I vomit a little when i reach the park going up hill. The taxi driver was driving a lil reckless and im not used to it. Its already 4pm by then … heck still got damn much hours b4 starting our hiking point to the summit. The park actually quite cleaner than i thought, everything was good until i find the restaurants’ food menu there kinda like slicing our neck and it tasted not really nice either. Well, what to do still gotta eat and prepare b4 the next day right?
It takes 15 minutes walk from the registration lodge of Sutera Sanctuary lodge( the mother of all lodge in Mt Kinabalu park ) to our lodge.
Hill Lodge - the place i spent my first night together with Sean.
Kinda comfy,big and clean inside, everything was provided except for a TV. Kinda like Brokeback Mountain but Kinabalu style. The weather now in the evening was just nice and temperature was 18 celcious just like Genting before it goes down further to 13 at midnite.
Sean was telling me the handphone signal here kinda not clear, obviously i know the "Yellowman" was not welcome here at all after we found out the big Celcom sign was just outside our lodge few metres away and of cos my maxis signal still strong la. Muahaha…
Not far away from the cafe, there is this signboard stating the records of the fastest "creature" humans ever reach the summit of the Mt Kinabalu from starting point of Timbuhan of the park. Note that average climbers actually took 2 days to reach the top plus minus resting but this bigfoot hikers manage to get the top in 2 hours surprisingly.

You could actually see the whole Mt Kinabalu top from here. Kinda scary though looking from far when u know u will walk all the way straight up from the place i took this pic.

Well thats wraps up for day 1 as we know we need to get enough sleep before start hiking early in the morning.
